The Milwaukee Cultural Connect program teaches youth about the experiences of ethnic groups in history and during their Milwaukee years. Each program segment has a video of approximately 30 minutes in length where a cultural anthropologist from that ethnic group presents information about the group. Each segment also includes a teacher’s guide, a timeline, a jeopardy game designed to help students retain information, images for talking points, and a short pre-/post-test survey to measure learning. “Faceball cards” can also be printed out from the segment that present the “stats” of a particular ethnic leader. These can be used as prizes.
